摘要: Land degradation poses an increasing threat to agricultural production. Under natural conditions, topsoil in the aggregate is renewed at a rate approximately equal which occurs. However, much land degrades faster than “tolerable rates.” (1976) estimate that more one-third of cropland USA has been lost last 200 years. The U.S. Department Agriculture (USDA) estimates combined water and wind erosion from cultivated averages 14 tonnes (t)/ha/yr considers tolerable rates soil loss on vast majority this be between 9 11 t/ha/yr (USDA, 1994). world’s soils are probably eroding pace USA.
