摘要: Membrane filtration processes represent a suitable alternative for fruit juice treatment, but the applied membrane should present high stability and permeability. Here, we propose development application of ceramic asymmetric hollow fiber membranes genipap extract clarification. Genipap is an exotic from Central South America with considerable concentration phenolic iridoid compounds. The dual-layer was fabricated by single-step co-extrusion co-sintering process. developed fibers presented desired structure, inner finger-like region that guaranteed permeate flux (191 L h−1 m−2 at 1 bar), while outer sponge-like layer responsible solid retentions mechanical resistance. Reductions in turbidity, total polyphenol content, genipin were 52, 17, 4%, respectively. Mathematical modeling experimental decay showed pore blocking main fouling mechanism during filtrations through fibers. presence microchannels larger size surface probably mitigated cake formation. increase transmembrane pressure 1 to 2 bar did not improve permeation since resistance considerably higher than 1 bar. Thus, are suggested clarification improved degree.
