摘要: A base, now named bicuculline, previously isolated from Dicentra cucullaria and referred to as alkaloid α has been obtained Corydalis sempervirens Adlumia fungosa. chemical examination of this disclosed an exceptionally close relation hydrastine, which it differs only by the substitution a methylenedioxy group for two methoxyl groups. Accordingly, hydrolytic oxidation yields hydrastinine 2-carboxy-3:4-methylenedioxy-benzaldehyde, on reduction is converted into known 3:4-methylenedioxy-phthalide.
