Structural and magnetic properties of Zn-substituted cobalt ferrites prepared by co-precipitation method

摘要: Zn substituted cobalt ferrite spinels with the general formula ZnxCo1−xFe2O4 (with x varying from 0 to 0.5) were synthesized by a co-precipitation method and calcined at 500 °C 800 °C. It was found that substitution has big effect in decreasing Curie temperature (Tc), around 440 for undoped sample ∼180 = 0.5. However, these values also strongly affected pre-calcination of samples, thus TC shifts ∼275 0.3 ∼296 after calcination respectively. These effects are due facilitation demagnetisation non-magnetic ions production very small nanoparticles. The latter removed higher calcinations so increases.
