摘要: Abstract A383 aluminum alloy high pressure die castings were solution treated at 490 °C for six duration ranging between 15 and 180 min, subsequently quenched in water naturally aged 4 days. The effects of treatment time on the evolution microstructure tensile properties determined. As expected, Si particles became larger rounder with increasing time. In all cases, size aspect ratio followed lognormal distribution. Moreover, coarsening during was found to follow Lifshitz –Slyozov-Wagner model. A new equation developed Al-Si-Mg alloys. Analysis showed that elongation quality index increased steadily particle size, a result is contrast widely accepted notion large impairs ductility cast positive correlation interpreted be due partial healing oxide bifilms entrained castings.
