TIME-TREND ANALYSIS OF PAH AND PCB SEDIMENT FLUXES IN THE NORTHERN BALTIC-PROPER USING DIFFERENT DATING METHODS

摘要: A recent laminated sediment was collected in the northern Baltic Proper with a Kajak-type gravity corer. The core analysed for content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, (PAHs) and mono-, di- non-ortho polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). To evaluate different dating methods to make as accurate possible, four sediment-dating were used: activity measurements radio nuclides 210Pb, 239/240Pu 137Cs, counts number laminae core. According 210Pb there peak annual flux PAHs ortho PCBs around 1950 after which declined, but peaks occurred during 1970s according counts. For trend less clear, increasing time evident. Multivariate analysis showed significant change PAH composition over time, whereas PCB relatively constant.
