摘要: The imposition of a stress, such as systemic nonthyroidal illness (NTI) or caloric deprivation in euthyroid humans, produces characteristic alterations serum thyroid hormone indices, which, certain instances, may minimize the catabolic impact these events (1–3). initial step this process is characterized by development so-called low T3 state where total and free values are reduced, but T4 levels remain normal. This represents most common response observed illness. If NTI progresses severe on presentation, then concentrations also become depressed producing combined T3—T4 state. Despite reductions circulating levels, TSH values, for part, normal, justifying use descriptive term sick syndrome. Further, patients typically do not display features suggestive hypothyroidism. It interest that changes economy usually paralleled other anabolic endocrine systems, growth hormone/IGF-1 reproductive hormones (4,5). Thus, illnesses nutritional induce an apparent integrated involving multiple systems.
