摘要: Dynamic properties of materials such as aramid and polyethylene fiber reinforced composites are rarely found in the literature, spite their significance ballistic design. It is also difficult to find detailed descriptions testing techniques procedures characterize these materials. This paper describes a dynamic tensile technique for composite materials, discusses problems specimen size clamping system. A full numerical simulation performed Autodyn-2D elucidate what happening during experiment. Finally this applied show that reliable data can be obtained from Hopkinson bar composites. Stress-strain, stress versus rate strain curves included. The results indicate strength rises with while maximum diminishes range studied.
