摘要: An experiment was conducted to study trap selectivity for male snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio) in St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland. The finishing effort of large-mesh commercial traps and small-mesh control not equal because two were fished every trap. We show how the SELECT (Share Each Length's Catch Total) method extends this situation and, more generally, trials which catches are sampled unequal proportion. Application data showed that a good fit provided by logistic selection curve under assumption fishing efficiencies traps. carapace widths at retention probabilities 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 estimated be 86.4, 94.6, 102.9 mm, respectively, probability minimum legal size 95 mm 0.51. had almost twice efficiency consequently caught legal-sized crabs per
