Profiles of resources and posttraumatic growth among cancer and psoriatic patients compared to non-clinical sample.

摘要: Abstract Background/Objective The aims of this study were to explore the heterogeneity resources, as described by Conservation Resources (COR) theory, in a sample cancer and psoriatic patients investigate whether within resources explains differences Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) level each these clinical samples non-clinical control group. Method consisted 925 participants, including 190 adults with diagnosis gastrointestinal cancer, 355 medical psoriasis, 380 (without any chronic illnesses) adults, all whom had suffered various adverse traumatic events. participants completed COR evaluation questionnaire posttraumatic growth inventory. Results A latent profile analysis revealed four different classes five patients, levels. Clinical subsamples differed substantially PTG levels compared healthy controls. Conclusions Our did not find sole pattern that fit individuals, even for those who experienced same type event. Psychological counseling, illness particularly, should focus on heterogenetic profiles psychosocial characteristics.
