摘要: The bioavailability of nutrients is important in controlling ecological processes and nitrogen cycling oligotrophic mangrove forests, yet the variation diazotrophic community structure activity with nutrient availability sediments remains largely unexplored. To investigate for first time how affect spatial temporal patterns activity, sedimentary environment Twin Cays, Belize, was examined respect to effects long-term fertilization [treatments: control (Ctrl), (N), phosphorus (P)] on N2 fixation rates nifH gene structure. We found that were significantly higher at P-treatment, intermediate Ctrl-treatment lower N-treatment (P: 4.2 ± 0.5, Crtl: 0.8 0.1, N: 0.4 0.1 nmolAENAE g )1 AEh ; P < 0.001) (Ctrl- P-treatments) (only P-treatment) variability positively correlated live root abundance (r 2 = 0.473, PO 3 4 concentration 0.458, 0.0001). diazotrophs showed larger fertilized treatments than Ctrl-treatment, relative OTUs (nifH operational taxonomic units) inversely related abundance. Overall, (with either N or P) affects not only levels directly, but also both likely plant-microbe interactions as well. Our findings suggest maintenance natural conditions ensure stability microbial functional groups like dia
