摘要: Infection of the snail Lymnaea stagnalis with schistosome parasite Trichobilharzia ocellata results in inhibition reproduction and giant growth. Parasite-related effects on neuroendocrine centres that control these processes were studied electrophysiologically. Haemolymph from infected snails reduced excitability caudodorsal cells, which egg laying. In contrast, growth-controlling Light Green Cells was increased under conditions. The endogenous anti-gonadotropic neuropeptide schistosomin, presence is strongly enhanced parasitized snails, induced similar effects. Schistosomin apparently plays an important role balance between growth Lymnaea. This severely disturbed during parasitic infection, probably as a result release peptide.
