摘要: A morphometric technique, based on the measurement of area individual cell colonies and its increase in time, was applied to study rate proliferation human prostatic cells vitro. The reliability method checked by determination growth cultures continuous line PC93 morphometrical technique as well counting number. No significant difference found population doubling times measured either these methods. It therefore concluded that could be also primary epithelial cells, which number is generally impossible. results showed that, with derived from hyperplastic prostates carcinomas tumor PC82, rapid occurred during first two or three days culture; measurements performed at a later time appeared less reliable. demonstrated effect serum deprivation PC82 described here is, principle, suitable monitor various agents culture. non-destructive requires minimal amounts tissue; it may especially cannot dispersed easily into single suspensions.
