摘要: cDNAs corresponding to three human runt domain containing genes, AML1, AML2, and AML3, were isolated characterized. In addition homology in the highly conserved domain, extensive sequence similarities also observed other parts of proteins. All carried an identical, putative ATP binding site -GRSGRGKS-, their C-terminal halves particularly rich proline serine residues. While AML1 cloned by others, AML2 represents a new member, not previously described, gene family, AML3 was identified as homologue mouse PEB-P2 alpha A. The chromosomal location chromosome 21q22 confirmed, while mapped regions 1p36 6p21, respectively. Analysis expression hematopoietic cell lines revealed distinct pattern expression.
