摘要: Abstract Background/Aim To examine the new dose-volume verification tool, called two-component conformity index formula (TCCI), for tumours of pituitary gland and tonsil cancer IMRT plans using helical Tomotherapy a linear accelerator. Material Methods 10 medically inoperable patients – 5 with tumour cancers were considered. Eclipse compared by DVH analysis TCCI including: 1/ physician's intents dose distribution in PRVs, 2/ more than one constraint PTV healthy tissues, 3/ separation between coverage excess components. Results shows differences received doses close to prescription (PD): 1/in gland, 61% volume enclosed PD 50%, 2/in cancer, 44% 55%. These clinically confirmed through analysis. Moreover, better 90% 95% isodose levels plans. Better high region reduction brain stem optic chiasm middle parotids spinal cord tissues reported observed Conclusions The usefulness information provided means that could be used as primary or alternative method quick finally supported advanced
