摘要: The decline in the rabbit population Iberian Peninsula has led hunters and authorities to rear rabbits captivity systems for purpose of their subsequent release. An alternative method intensive rabbitry is extensive breeding enclosures, since they produce animals a greater quality hunting conservation purposes. However, some factors that affect production enclosures are still unknown. We have therefore used partial least squares regression (PLSR) analyse effect plot size, scrub cover, slope, initial abundance, resources needed dig warrens, predation proximity others enclosures. results our study show number other fenced plots within radius 3 km, cover optimal warrens abundance. According results, order maximize it would be advisable concentrate restocking effort by ensuring close each other, thus avoiding isolated Furthermore, selection with an appropriate protection similar natural warren construction, such as large stones or tall shrubs, may optimize results.
