摘要: A frequently used index of beta-cell function from the OGTT is insulinogenic index, IGI. However, there still some controversy about its validity. In a group 145 women with different degrees glucose tolerance, we compared IGI to corresponding C-peptide, DeltaCP(30)/DeltaG(30), which better describes function. We also validated both indices measurements derived IVGTT. strongly correlated (R = 0.82, P < 0.0001) DeltaCP(30)/DeltaG(30). Both and DeltaCP(30)/DeltaG(30) significantly IVGTT, though correlation was stronger (IGI: R 0.67, 0.0001; DeltaCP(30)/DeltaG(30): 0.56, 0.0001). Also areas under curve insulin, C-peptide were analyzed. Finally, similar samples at 60, 90 120 min, more often available than that 30 min. conclude an acceptable function, as mirrored by weaker accurate IVGTT suggests it should be caution. The 60 min can surrogate IGI, but not
