摘要: The genus Phytomonas includes parasites that are etiological agents of important plant diseases, especially in Central and South America. These transmitted to plants via the bite an infected phytophagous hemipteran. Despite economic impact these parasites, many basic questions regarding remain unanswered, such as mechanism by which cope with immune response insect vector. In this report, using a model systemic infection, we describe function Oncopeltus fasciatus hemocytes towards tomato parasite serpens. Hemocytes respond infection trapping nodular structures phagocytizing parasites. electron microscopy hemocytes, were located inside vacuoles, appear fused lysosomes. reached O. salivary glands at least six hours post-infection. After 72 post-infection, attached gland outer surface. Thus, cellular responses did not kill all
