摘要: The styloid process is a slender, elongated, cylindrical bony projection from temporal bone. It normally varies in length 2 cm to 3 cm. During routine demonstration of skull for MBBS students we found the bilateral elongated dry human skull. elongation measured on right and left side was 6.0 & 5.9 cms respectively. Such abnormal may cause compression number vital vessels nerves related it, producing inflammatory changes that include continuous chronic pain pharyngeal region. Mechanical stresses stretching second brachial arch during fetal development probably induce variable involvement Reichert's cartilage morphogenesis process. important clinicians especially dentists otolaryngologists are aware natural variations do not consider with 30 mm as an abnormality or anomaly.
