摘要: The family of Interleukin-6(IL-6)-type cytokines comprises IL-6, IL-11, leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), oncostatin M (OSM), ciliary neurotrophic (CNTF), cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) and the recently described novel neurotrophin-1/B-cell stimulatory 3/cardiotrophin-1-like cytokine. These play an important role in hematopoiesis, inflammation, acute phase response, bone heart development as well neurogenesis. redundant effects can be attributed to shared use common signal transducing receptor chain glycoprotein (gp) 130. Gp130 is homodimerized by IL-6 IL-I I upon binding their ligand-specific a-receptors. other this trigger heterodimerization gp130 with LIF (LIF-R) or OSM-specific (OSM-R).
