摘要: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) dependent tumor angiogenesis is an essential step for the initiation and promotion of progression. The hypothesis that VEGF-driven necessary sufficient metastatic progression tumor, has been major premise use anti-VEGF therapy decades. While success in solid tumors led to knowledge-based- therapies over past several years, failures this therapeutic approach due development inherent/ acquired resistance increased understanding VEGF-independent angiogenesis. Today, tumor- not a synonymous term VEGF-dependent function. extensive study revealed key factors responsible phenomenon including role myeloid cells, contribution entirely new like vascular mimicry. In review, we will present cellular molecular related anti-angiogenic following different tumors.
