摘要: This paper investigates how different prioritizations of species for conservation can affect both the number breeding individuals that receive protection and distribution attention among types habitat. I use as a study example three red lists avifauna Kanton Zurich in northern Switzerland. Species are weighted based on their placement list categories to represent differences species' relative value. examine these weightings pairs benefiting from increasing effort. Conservation effort is defined ranked land parcels attention, be it through habitat enhancement, protection, or other measures. rank parcels' value estimated each parcel. Not surprisingly, category-1, -2 -3 benefits varies greatly when used. Changes influences attention. The effect proportion landscape type receiving also vary values used determine priorities. Use ‘official’ published by governmental body (Bundesamt fur Umwelt, Wald und Landschaft, Bern, Switzerland) results more emphasis agricultural than did either two lists. process prioritization sites should evaluate effects variation categorization may arise due incomplete data opinion.
