摘要: Summary Introduction We compared the long-term stability of surgically assisted rapid palatal expansion (SARPE) and segmental Le Fort I osteotomy (bipartition) for expanding maxillae in adult patients. Methods The upper jaw plaster models 10 patients who underwent transverse using SARPE technique bipartition were examined. For each patient, intercanine intermolar distances before (T1), after (T2), 2 years (T3) measured. Consequently, we could evaluate degree (between T1 T2) relapse distance T2 T3). (i.e., extent relapse) was used to assess outcomes both methods. Results In group, average increase +8.5 +7 mm, respectively. respective +2.75 +3.75 mm. Two expansion, decreased by 2.5 mm or 28% overall 3.0 mm 36% expansion. 0.25 mm 25% 0.75 mm 20% Conclusions that assessed, there a high rate mean following more pronounced patients, whereas stable, especially terms distance.
