摘要: The goal of this paper is to evaluate the literature published over past 3 years and emphasize most recent updates in diagnosis management malignant pleural effusions (MPE). MPE focused on palliation symptoms should take into account patient preferences anticipated survival. Chemical pleurodesis indwelling catheters (IPC) are both definitive options for recurrent symptomatic MPE. IPC placement reduces hospitalization can result spontaneous pleurodesis, but these advantages must be weighed against cost materials ongoing care. preferred attempted presence nonexpandable lung. use vacuum bottles during therapeutic thoracentesis associated with increased pain complications, drainage via manual aspiration or gravity preferred. routine manometry does not appear reduce procedure-related discomfort. Several new advances have been made discovered relation procedural aspects thoracentesis, diagnosis, We summarized relevant trials studies discuss their application clinical practice.
