摘要: The nasal epithelium from a young girl was examined by electron microscopy and found to be infected coronavirus. Virions are seen within outside the ciliated cells, but not or goblet cells other of mucosa. Some virions located near microvilli, others in pockets apical cell membrane. cytoplasm contains many small vesicles with single virion, large containing hundreds virions, lysosome-like cytosomes moderate number virions. virus-like particles devoid an electron-dense interior both extracellularly. Virus budding observed Golgi apparatus nowhere else cell. seem destroyed viruses, although cases cilia withdrawn into body. loss is likely cause rhinorrhoea.
