摘要: Location modelling is employed in urban and regional planning to site facilities that provide services of some sort. Issues be considered usually include the number locate, where those how demand served. Given geographic nature location problems, a key issue represent space. Traditionally, spatial abstraction as discrete assumed it simplifies model formulation reduces computational complexity. However, errors derived solutions are likely not negligible, especially when varies continuously across region. This paper discusses single facility problem considers distributed allows located anywhere space, continuous Weber problem. An approach for dealing with proposed integrated through geographical information system (GIS) functionality. Empirical results highlight advantages developed importance solution integration GIS.
