摘要: Background: Recent improvements in the identification of genetic basis long QT syndrome (LQTS) have led to significant changes diagnosis and management this life-threatening condition. Genetic electrocardiogram (ECG) tests are most relevant examples among testing strategies for LQTS, yet their costeffectiveness remains controversial. Objective: The aim work was review available evidence on cost-effectiveness ECG LQTS. Methods: We performed a systematic literature screening early detection LQTS using MEDLINE, EMBASE, CRD databases between 2000 2013. A weighted version Drummond checklist instrumental further assessing quality included studies. Results: identified four eligible articles. Among them, cost-effective compared with no symptomatic cases not costeffective when watchful waiting asymptomatic first-degree relatives patients established although it reached higher risk subgroups, whereas neonates highly any strategy. Conclusions: profiling patients’ stratification potential improve disease management. Because limited current knowledge field, present recommends perform evaluations alternatives, especially within European health care systems, which still testing.
