Optical anisotropy of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x

摘要: The optical anisotropy of ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$${\mathrm{O}}_{7\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{x}}$ in the 0.08--5.6 eV region is investigated by polarized reflectance measurements on single crystals, and transmittance, reflectance, ellipsometric oriented thin films. In visible--near-uv spectral relatively mild, but a huge observed infrared. Here, increases with decreasing frequency for both polraizations, consistent metallic conductance parallel perpendicular to ab plane. c-axis plasma strikingly low, there strong damping which could originate from continuum low-energy interband transitions.
