摘要: The resolution obtainable in electron microscopic autoradiographs, using a photographic emulsion consisting of monolayer silver bromide crystals, was investigated theoretically and experimentally. expected distribution exposed crystals around point source calculated from the geometry preparation range beta particles emitted by tritium. From such an autoradiographic order 1000 A can be predicted. distribution, grains bacteriophages labeled with tritium calculated. This also measured experimentally autoradiographs T-2 thymidine-H3. two distributions agreed closely. It verified, nuclear region thin cross-sections Bacillus subtilis thymidine-H3, that resolutions same were obtained for extended sources. concluded could achieved presently available commercial emulsion, although emulsions finer might desirable some circumstances.
