摘要: The history of epidemiologic research on the role nutritional elements and BC in Uruguay is brief its beginning was two decades ago [1]. During years 1994–2010 authors have produced more than 50 scientific works area [2–52]. A high fraction them were case-control type studies, lately not only carried out following conventional analysis but also factor search patterns [26, 36, 43, 51, 52]. They mostly performed population admitted to public hospitals (who belong low socio-economic strata) coming from whole country we analyzed a sample belonging private healthcare system (mid-to-high capital city, Montevideo, order cover different risk populations. Our studies given medical literature their usually original contributions, whose publication specialized journals presentations congresses allowed an adequate international dissemination results, cited nowadays Internet. Of special interest for us papers referred selection using dietary information [11–13, 16–19], recently those reporting results anthropometric [24, 25, 29, 30, 33, 34, 44, 45] other [35], including review [47]. Finally, some recent multisite analyses brought additional specific items related [36–42]. most relevant features our work are herewith summarized.
