摘要: The limitations of conventional cancer therapy (surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy) combined with a better understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating immune system have led to increasing attention focused on development immunotherapies for cancer. Active immunotherapy approaches seek eliminate tumor cells by eliciting responses directed against tumor-associated antigens. Gene transfer techniques expanded potential opportunities in this area providing new methods stimulating response. Among array under clinical application, nucleic acid or polynucleotide vaccines emerged as novel effective method inducing antigen-specific responses.
