摘要: Previous work indicated that cinnamon was inhibitory to the growth of aflatoxin-producing molds. The objective this study determine specific components and cloves may be effective against mold toxin production. effects oil, clove cinnamic aldehyde eugenol on aflatoxin production by Aspergillus parasiticus were studied using yeast-extract sucrose broth as substrate. All four substances inhibited subsequent Cinnamon oils at 200–250 ppm, 150 ppm 125 ppm. Since are respective major oils, it concluded these active antifungal ingredients two essential oils. effect judged inhibition rather than When occurred after a delay, when cultures reached secondary metabolism. Given sufficient time, which initially, but subsequently grew, produced levels equivalent control cultures. Levels above 250 200 completely growth, or permitted only small amount never metabolism aflatoxins during time study.
