摘要: Summary Background: Osteosarcoma is a malignant mesenchymal tumor whose cancerous cells produce osteoid matrix and the most common primary long bone tumor. It disease of young adults accounts for approximately 20% sarcomas occurring in adults. However incidence only 5% osteosarcomas jaw. The even rarer children. Case Report: A case 15 year old male who presented with progressive aggressive left jaw mass about 8 months presented. Patient was initially diagnosed as Burkitt’s lymphoma. skull radiograph done showed an expansile mixed osteoblastic osteolytic destruction mandible associated “sun-ray” spiculations dental displacement loss lamina dura. Excision biopsy histopathology tumour taken confi rmed diagnosis osteosarcoma (with osteoblasts predominating). Conclusions: differential diagnosis, radiological features treatment this lesion are discussed. Plain able to provide useful information on extent fi ndings entity. chest that there were no pulmonary or thoracic cage metastases. Treatment by surgical resection.
