摘要: The effect of the charge circulating immune complexes on glomerular localization was studied in a model passive serum sickness. Preformed heterogeneous or restricted charge, prepared vitro from isoelectrically focused chemically modified proteins, were injected intravenously into mice. distribution kidney compared by immunofluorescence and electron microscopy. Cationic but not anionic electrophoretically gave rise to diffuse basement membrane. binding subepithelial subendothelial sites correlated with known structural sites. observations suggest that electrostatic interactions between fixed may be an important factor trapping. Alternative mechanisms based initial excess free cationic antigen cannot completely excluded are also considered.
