Emotional factors and the in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer process.

摘要: In vitro fertilization is nearly always a treatment of last resort. This fact, along with the treatment's multiplicity procedures and intensity, place unique emotional demands on patients. The goal this research was to describe both acknowledged state patients at time they began in embryo transfer (IVF-ET) process experience actual themselves. findings can be used develop strategies for providing support. Data were collected from self-administered questionnaires returned by 94 IVF-ET three Houston programs during 6-month period. At IVF procedure, 77% population reported that infertility still painful concern, not something which had learned live. loss control, seen most as infertility's stressful dimension, left them vulnerable intense stresses fertilization, less able handle its multiple demands. Thus many, like an roller coaster experienced wide range feelings brief period time. Not surprisingly, strain major consideration influencing decision whether or repeat IVF. Patients indicated specific services staff could provide reduce stress procedures.
