摘要: Metastasis is the major killer of cancer patients. Although increased understanding metastatic process was achieved in recent years, mechanisms underlying progression cells to form site-specific metastasis are still awaiting complete elucidation. The current consensus that circulating tumor disseminate into future sites and these disseminated micrometastasis sites. micrometastases remain a state dormancy until “awakened” progress towards overt metastases. Whereas evidence implicating chemokine–chemokine receptor interactions as mechanism responsible for targeted migration quite strong, maintain awaken dormant micrometastases, driving their frank metastasis, obscure. It clear, however, microenvironment plays role events. Three topics discussed this review: Mechanisms involved sites; Specific molecular signatures expressed by metastases between micrometastatic with microenvironment. In reviewing we focused on studies performed our lab neuroblatoma lung melanoma brain metastasis.
