摘要: Domestic violence and abuse (DVA) is common damaging to health. UK national guidance advocates a multi-agency response DVA, domestic homicide reviews consistently recommend improved information-sharing between agencies. Identification of patients experiencing DVA in general practice may come from external information shared with the practice, such as police incident reports risk assessment conference (MARAC) reports. The aim this study was explore views practitioners (GPs) about sharing GPs. Qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted GPs, staff partnership manager. Participants located across England Wales. Thematic analysis undertaken. Interviews 23 six one former Experiences GPs varied. described relevance value help address health consequences safeguard patients. They balanced competing priorities when managing electronic medical record, namely visibility versus unintended disclosure also spoke judgements they made exploring based on reports, which varied abusive non-abusive adults children. Some felt constrained by short consultations. reflected loss control agencies, consequences. Both highlighted importance clear understanding responsibility for action. regarded relevant their role, but safely recording record using it support required complex judgements. emphasised clarity action agencies affected DVA.
