摘要: Body composition was assessed in a group of 35 apparently health elderly males and 37 females, aged 60-83 years, by means anthropometry densitometry. Mean body mass index (BMI) the 25.0 +/- 2.2 kg/m2 females 25.9 3.2 kg/m2, which indicates normal weight to only minor overweight. fat as densitometry 31 per cent men 44 women, rather high value, especially when compared low BMI. percentage calculated from sum four skinfolds (bicipitalis, tricipitalis, subscapularis supra-iliacalis) using regression equations literature 27.9 2.5 38.7 for women respectively. These values are probably an underestimation fat, due higher proportion internal subjects, is not measured skinfolds. determined BMI has estimation error about 4 derived sex- age-specific equations. The predicted skinfold thicknesses had comparable estimate. prediction errors with found young middle-aged subjects reported literature.
