摘要: This paper examines the proposition that sexual and contraceptive behaviours mediate relationship between pregnancy desires of young, unmarried women their having an unplanned pregnancy. The sample consisted 854 18- to 19-year-old living in Michigan, USA. First, positive negative these were measured, as women's perceptions partners. Then extent which four types desires, well several interactions them, prospectively predicted occurrence subsequent pregnancies tested with logistic regression analyses, initially alone then after addition mediator variables. results demonstrated ten significant motivational predictors became non-significant following introduction variables predictive strength other six was substantially reduced by introduction. A number factors may account for only a partial mediational effect some models are discussed.
