摘要: Abstract The thermal behavior, microstructure and crystal structure of 1,3-dioleoyl-2-palmitoyl glycerol (OPO); an additive demonstrated to improve the cold flow behavior biodiesel, methyl palmitate (MeP); a saturated FAME (Fatty acid ester) implicated in high melting temperature common were investigated by DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), PLM (polarized light microscopy) XRD, respectively. Very complex rich concentration dependent phase was revealed attributed specific intermolecular interactions between OPO MeP. delayed crystallization effectively disrupted nucleation growth altering profoundly. A steep drop accompanied dramatic decrease size upon addition OPO. complete pseudo-equilibrium diagram OPO/MeP including transitions below liquidus line, polymorphism development has been achieved. study provides comprehensive fundamental understanding that can help optimize formulation bio-sourced structured additives would suppress reduce biodiesel effectively.
