摘要: In the last two decades, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has shown great potential as a powerful and cost-efficient tool to troubleshoot existing disinfection contactors improve future designs for water treatment industry. However, numerous challenges in simulation of processes still remain. This review summarizes past CFD studies hydraulic associated efficiency contactors. Hydraulic based on flow tracer transport were found be most common successful. Challenges are identified discussed. These can overcome via advanced turbulent approaches, such Large Eddy Simulation multi-phase resolving simulations. Although turbulence-chemistry interaction is challenging problem proper representation reaction system inactivation kinetics, solutions this challenge overshadowed unless errors induced by unresolved unsteady reduced sufficiently.
