摘要: Mating speed of flies which have been aged either in the light, dark, or a light-and-dark cycle was measured using two strains, Rochester (R) and Salvador (S), ofDrosophila mercatorum. A significant difference mating tendency depending on condition pretreatment found between R S while both strains showed similar pattern diurnal rhythm cycle. Compared under same conditions, usually higher than flies. seems to be affected by at least different genetic systems. One them is system determining absolute mating. Another sensitivity environmental conditions. There may considerable differentiation systems strains.
