摘要: New Zealand’s earth history and the presence of diadromy have strongly influenced distributions its freshwater fishes, in much same way as they fishes northern temperate lands. There is a deep dichotomy biogeographies diadromous non-diadromous fauna this, well distinctive enduring geographical isolation, produced biota that we observe today. Biogeography can be explored using both top-down bottom-up approaches. In theory approach provides ability to explore synthesise individual patterns has tendency obscure or muffle, so preferable.
