摘要: Vitiligo is a skin disease characterized by depigmentation. Its etiopathogenesis unclear, but it has been associated with autoimmune processes. Gene polymorphisms in the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) have several imflammatory diseases. In particular, -308G/A polymorphism gene promoter region reported to be increased plasma levels of TNF-α and an risk develop To date, this not vitiligo. assess possible association between vitiligo vulgaris (VV), 198 patients 395 control subjects were recruited for study. A complete demographic clinical profile each case was registered analyze factors Genomic DNA isolated from peri pheral blood subjected PCR-RFLP genotyping polymorphism. Causal associations determined χ2 test their respective OR assessed 2×2 contingency table. When population variables type vitiligo, gender, age onset, active status considered, VV GA genotype found (P=0.0295, OR=2.0; 95% CI 1.01-3.93). All other irrelevant Our data suggest -308 form Mexican population.
