Increased expression of epidermal growth factor receptor during gastric ulcer healing in rats.

摘要: Expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was studied immunohistochemically in rat gastric mucosa during healing acetic acid-induced ulcers. In normal control oxyntic mucosa, EGFR expressed proliferative zone cells and some parietal cells. the ulcer margin, at 3, 7, 16 days after induction, there a 75-fold increase (over controls) number expressing EGFR. Seventy percent ulcers healed by 16th day, all were 25th day. The mucosal scar that replaced composed dilated glands lined with poorly or aberrantly differentiated showing persistence increased expression. An expression indicates an important role EGF formation.
