摘要: The application of prosopographical methods to the study Holocaust remains fairly uncommon, especially in France. In this chapter, we draw on a survey that allowed us reconstruct “trajectories persecution” through Second World War, order discuss difficulties and possible benefits sequence analysis investigation cohort about thousand people identified as Jews residing Lens at beginning War. Our attempts “model” persecution its effects their trajectories raised certain number methodological issues, mostly dealing with linearity causal schema implied by our approach: is it appropriate reduce choices made under tragic circumstances social determinants? To conceptualize data seems offer interesting prospects for overcoming some these difficulties. By moving from logic properties sequential states, causes paths, describe, interpret plurality trajectories, yet without abandoning quantification.
