摘要: This study compared the performance of three matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization–time flight mass spectrometry systems: Microflex LT (Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany), Vitek MS RUO (Axima Assurance-Saramis database; bioMerieux, Marcy l'Etoile, France), and IVD (bioMerieux). A total 1,129 isolates, including 1,003 routine 73 anaerobes, 53 bacterial enteropathogens, were tested on Axima Assurance devices. The spectra analyzed using databases: Biotyper Daltonics), Saramis, Among isolates requiring identification to species level (n = 986), 92.7% 93.2% correctly identified by databases, respectively. database is more specific for Streptococcus viridans. For often Fusobacterium only genus level, which low clinical significance, whereas 20% Bacteroides not or misidentified database. poor discrimination between Escherichia coli Shigella explains high proportion unidentified organisms. In contrast database, properly discriminated all Salmonella entrica serovar Typhi 5). Saramis was globally poorer. conclusion, procedures, Vitek-MS systems are equally good choices in terms analytical efficiency. Other factors, price, work flow, lab activity, will affect choice a system.
