摘要: Abstract This paper reports the synthesis and characterization of TiO 2 membranes impregnated with elemental palladium (Pd–TiO ) for hydrogen separation at elevated temperatures pressures. The were prepared by sol–gel method where Pd was introduced through sol-mixing titania sol precursor solution. Pd–TiO characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TG/DTA), N adsorb/desorption analysis, single permeation test H . XRD revealed that presence nanoparticles has retarded crystallization anatase-rutile phase transition. TEM images indicated are composed non-uniform particle size as compared to alone. For four times dip-coating, membrane thickness measured be approximately 634 nm. By impregnating small concentration Pd, it significantly enlarged pore original structure besides increasing its surface area volume. However, a reverse trend observed when increased further. Single permeance both showed transport mechanism dominated Knudsen diffusion Poiseuille flow. ideal selectivity /N crossing calculated found less than theoretical value based separation. temperature increment, whereas same not membrane. These results show that, there other mechanisms involved apart from
