摘要: Immune privilege was first observed in the eye as early 1873 when tumors, and later skin allografts were accepted for extended periods of time eye. allows protection against infectious organisms absence inflammation. This chapter organizes our current knowledge immune homeostasis relation to health disease. review discusses role innate adaptive regulation ocular environment immunosuppressive molecules on both stromal cells. Microorganisms that cause bacterial keratitis are listed therapeutical approaches discussed.
