Search for high frequency gravitational-wave bursts in the first calendar year of LIGO's fifth science run

摘要: We present an all-sky search for gravitational waves in the frequency range 1 to 6 kHz during first calendar year of LIGO’s fifth science run. This is untriggered LIGO burst analysis be conducted above 3 kHz. discuss unique properties interferometric data this regime. 161.3 days triple-coincident were analyzed. No events threshold observed and a frequentist upper limit 5.4  year^(-1) on rate strong gravitational-wave bursts was placed at 90% confidence level. Implications specific theoretical models emission are also discussed.
